I'm so thankful for Chef Obioma of BYO chef. I've used her multiple times since my wedding for birthdays, Thanksgiving, and lazy cooking days. The food is always superb, well flavored, meats are moist and the customer service is even better. Obioma delivers on time and is altogether, an awesome personal & catering chef. I sincerely recommend her and plan to continue using her moving forward for all my family & personal functions.

The quality of the food is outstanding and Chef Obioma made the ordering experience so pleasant and smooth. I ordered vegetable stew, Jollof, and puff puff for dessert, and everything was packed with flavor. I can’t wait to try out their private dinner options and more of their menu!

We were tired of the same old take-out and wanted something different for a Friday night. Ordering online was easy. We selected multiple delicious items. The chicken meat pies were soft and crispy with just the right amount of spices. The Jollof rice had an almost smoke flavor to it. The Plantains were different from Caribbean Plantains with a little extra spice and great flavor. We had two types of wings, the Sweet Mesquite and Teriyaki. Both were tasty.
I highly recommend B.Y.O Chef if you are looking for something different and delicious delivered to your home.

Absolutely wonderful! Chef Obi blessed us with a beautifully prepared and catered birthday breakfast celebration for my husband at our home. He loved the biscuits with jalapeño white gravy, omelet, and fruit. She also prepared a strawberry crepe for me and a chicken and cheese crepe for my son. We loved it all and especially enjoyed her signature fruit juice! You have to taste it! It was an early morning, but they arrived ready to plate meals and were completely done by the time my husband came downstairs. The food was savory and delectable! This was our second time hiring B.Y.O. Chef, and I must say it definitely will not be our last!

We ordered several things to try for home delivery and enjoyed everything. Chicken Marsala, Beef Suya, Meat Pies, Egusi, Jollof Rice and Quinoa. I especially loved the Chicken Marsala with the crepe, my husband loved the Beef Suya and quinoa. Nothing was disappointing. We will certainly order again. Don't hesitate! Give this a try, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you to B.Y.O. Chef for helping me celebrate my birthday on 9/26/2020. Our catered meal for 18 people was delicious. We started with a mango pineapple salsa, chips and Hawaiian meatballs. Both were homemade and delicious. The meatballs were huge and tasted so good. My guests were speaking about them even after the party. They also prepared beef and chicken kabobs. The meat was seasoned nicely and tender. It was served with white rice topped with teriyaki sauce that was flavorful with just a little touch of spice as well as seasoned veggies.

B.Y.O. Chef was a joy to work with. They were flexible as I needed them to stay an extra hour to plate the meal. They were on time and had very good and regular communication. They are very professional from start to finish. From the quote, invoicing and flexible payment options.

One of my guest lives in Florida and said she would love to fly them there for any events she may have in the future.

I would highly recommend B.Y.O. Chef for your next catering event. 5 star rating from me.

What an awesome gift from my husband to have B.Y.O. Chef cook my 46th birthday dinner. This company was professional from the initial consultation until the presentation of dishes. Chef Obi provided a varied menu with authentic Nigerian appetizers, salads, soups, entrees and desserts. She prepared all dishes specifically to “my liking” and ensured all my dietary requests were honored. I enjoyed the Beef Suya (minus the peanuts), Jollof rice, and broccoli; my husband raved about the Beef strips and white gravy with wild rice , and our sons devoured the Crispy Sesame chicken wings! For dessert, we shared Oreo Cheesecake & Spiced Apple Cake and washed it all down with lemonade made from scratch (with a pleasant “secret” ingredient! ). From the bold flavor of seasonings and spices in the meats to the smooth mixture of cream in the cakes, Chef Obi’s dishes will satisfy any palate. Her love for food and authentic Nigerian cuisine is tasted in every bite. So, for a special occasion or just a beautiful culinary experience , hire B.Y.O. Chef to cater your next event with great inexpensive “Nigerian creations.“ You will not be disappointed!
